I'll rate ZERO if this system allow me!There is a female staff with long black hair seem to be annoyed when we walk in. She pointed into the air at the entrance when we ask for a table. So we have to find a table by ourselves. This female staff seem to be very busy and just dropped the menu and run away. The restaurant is quite empty actually, only few tables with customers who have been serviced with food. So I wonder why she seem to be so busy?! I ordered Hot Pot which has an pan fry egg with runny yolk on top. However something unexpected happened. This female staff used a spoon to crash the egg and stir it once she put the Hot Pot on my table. I was really shocked and don't understand why she did that! This is my food, what are you doing to my food?! So I asked her to stop. She stopped and explain that food need to be stirred. All right, should you let me have a look at the presentation then check with me if I want to do it myself? Now coming to the best part of my dinner, the rice contact to the clay pot is over cooked, they've been burnt into black color! I feel so uncomfortable, so I complained to her. HER ANSWER IS THAT IS THE STYLE OF THIS HOT POT DISH. Are you kidding me????? That's FIRE-BLACKENED RICE which tastes like ash, not the yellowish brown and crunchy rice. I wasn't born yesterday! So I told her there is something wrong with this dish. And she insist that is the food style. And she keep repeating it and make me very annoyed. I decide to leave or I might start to swear. She didn't charge me that Hot Pot which is reasonable. We paid other food in full price and pack them up in container as we not even start to eat yet. I didn't get a chance to take a photo because she took the dish to the kitchen very quickly.i still feel very annoyed with this experience as she didn't apologized to me the whole time! and I have to find another place to have dinner after wasting about an hour waiting in that restaurant! This restaurant should train their staff properly! Here are something they need to know: OVERCOOKED rice can pose a health hazard that includes nutrient depletion and increased risk of CANCER.whatever, never go back again!
Salt and Pepper Squid Beef Salad Sizzling Chicken (pepper sauce) Rice Tea or Coffee Food was excellent - great flavours, well presented and enough that you were that happy medium where you are full,
Standout dishes were the beef carpaccio and the mixed hotpot, but it was all superb. I have no idea how much the meal was because our generous friends picked up the tab. Would love to say that we’ll
First time to dine at Sunflower, it was good. The staff members were great, friendly and accommodating. We had chicken cold rolls, spring rolls, pork chop, king prawn goi, and salt and pepper eggplant. The cold rolls and spring rolls weren’t the best I’ve had; however the pork chop was close to the best. It was perfectly seasoned and the sauce that accompanied it was great. I will return and try some other classic Vietnamese dishes, as the menu is quite extensive.
Very good . Good service and food was excellent , good variety and fresh , will be back soon guys ! Hey and Not overly priced either Thank you
A great spot for family and friends. The food is always excellent and the atmosphere very welcoming. I have eaten here many, many times and travel a long way to do so. It is by far the most nicely presented Vietnamese Restaurant in the area and there is no feeling of being rushed out the door as soon as you are finished. I have only been here with either children or grandparents in tow, so our menu selections have been traditional Anglo-Asian fare: lemon chicken, salt n pepper squid/prawns, sizzling beef, cold rolls, spring rolls, honey chicken etc. However glancing at other tables with dining envy, I see the Vietnamese selections look fantastic. I have tried to sneak down without the kids, but as it is their favourite restaurant, this has been an impossible task. The waiting staff ( even when overwhelmed on a Sunday evening after their annual 4 week break and an unexpectedly full restaurant ) were polite and attentive. This restaurant has never failed to deliver quality, reasonably priced food. The food prices are a little higher than the Vietnamese further down the road, but the interior makes up for the slightly higher costs and is more than suitable for a birthday dinner or family gathering. The toilets are very clean too!!! Always a good sign!
best vietnamese food in the western suburbs. I use to eat at vietnam restaurant all the time before i found this little gem. Quails are to die for, and you dont feel cram in at all at this restaurant. Must try the grilled pork balls make your own cold rolls, they're peanut sauce is so delicious. definitely be back
Two of us had the Traditional Roast Pork (see photo) which was well presented and pleasing to the eye. We both said it was the best we have eaten to date. The pork was juicy, with the crackling just
We had the sizzling beef with the house bbq sauce and the whole flounder with crispy skin in tamarind sauce. Both delicious. Finished off with Viet coffee which was perfect. Will be back next time we're

We started off by making our own cold rolls with Pork Balls and a sizzling beef which was fun to make ourselves and so fresh. the SALT AND PEPPER SQUID is to DIE FOR! it is the best in Adelaide. definitely
We almost always have the Vietnamese classics (cold rolls, wanton soup, make-your-own rolls, Vietnamese roast pork) but the salads, salt and pepper prawns are also really good. If we had to be picky,
If we had to be picky, a roast duck salad we had once didn't seem to have a lot of duck, but for $16 a serving it wasn't bad. With cheap BYO wine and our often last-minute bookings Sunflower never lets
We had prawn toast, sizzling steak Vietnamese style (basically make your own cold rolls), Roast pork, crispy noodles, and chicken in chilli and garlic. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the
