The grounds were absolutely stunning!Unfortunately we attended to try to see what the food was like because we were looking to book this for our wedding. We found that the food was ok but not a lot for the money we paid. Also the time it took to get our food was quite long. The staff were not overly friendly and the owner of the property quite happily sat with other guests drinking. While trying to make the booking for the wedding Nelly who does all the correspondence didn't take the time to sit down with me as per the wedding brochure inviting us to have a sit down and talk about what we wanted instead Nelly took the brochure price and made it a fixed price. In fact the one day that I did call her she made it clear that she preferred that I only email her. $176 per head and no discounts for children like REALLY??? If we had less than 100 we had to have the wedding on a Friday and there was no discounts for having the smaller of the two venues on site. The same costs applied. This doesn't make sense because the second larger venue is much further away so you would think this would take more set up time. Basically because I wasn't looking to spend 20k I was not given the proper time and attention that I felt I was entitled to based on the large 10 - 15k budget I was about to spend. I really only wanted the location for the photos but after the lack of service I couldn't bring myself to pay them any money because I couldn't trust them to deliver the special day I pictured. We have happily found that the National Wine Centre in the Adelaide CBD have been more than accomodating, the photos we can get there and also in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens are going to be just as amazing and the price is $50 per head cheaper. Disgusted. Even though we had booked we waited an age, little care from staff and a very arrogant and cavalier owner , never again !
Dissapointment. We were turned away, because they were too busy???? Only at 30% capacity. Asked if we could have a table in the garden and only wanted a pizza and wine and were in no rush. Still too busy. Then called days later to give feedback and express our dissapointment. Only to be told the staff were busy and tired, and we had ruined his night ??????????Take the feedback on board, or not.......[Full review]
Not cheap but quality products in a beautiful setting. This place is a hidden gem. The duck confit was beautiful and the pizza's just awesome. Loved the in house wine selection. We will definitely return.
As a grand finale, we shared a creamy lemon tart and a rich chocolate pannacotta. Kingsbrook is only open at weekends. There is also boutique style accomodation icreated from the old out buildings.
Best pork belly. We were all treated with excellent meals on Mother's Day. My pork belly was exceptional, melt in your mouth and with superb crackling. No-one could fault their meals in the relaxed 'Providore' setting.
